The PSJ120-14 was deployed to transport technicians and equipment efficiently along vertical ropes, ensuring safe ascent/descent in challenging offshore environments. With a maximum load capacity of 120kg, the device supported technicians carrying specialized tools and sensors, eliminating the need for manual hauling. Its dual safety mechanisms—automatic braking upon sudden force changes and anti-fall protection—aligned with IRATA safety protocols, critical for high-risk offshore operations.

The compact design and IP65-rated components proved resilient against moisture and corrosion, while the extended battery life (8 hours per charge) enabled uninterrupted shifts. Technicians highlighted the intuitive controls and stability during ascent, even in gusty conditions, reducing physical strain and accelerating task completion.

OceanWind reported a 20% reduction in project duration compared to traditional methods, attributing this to the PSJ120-14’s reliability and safety. “The PESCO ascender ensured our team could focus on precision repairs, not equipment limitations,” noted the site supervisor.
